November 27, 2008

Well, here I am, back from Japan and sitting on my computer chair. Don't really feel like posting about the trip... sianess...

November 18, 2008

Lol, leaving for Japan on vacation from 19th to 25th. Feeling so excited :D

For anyone who know my hp number, don't contact me ;)

November 12, 2008

Lol, yesterday was a long day for me (and performing choir members)...

Woke up at 8am. From 8 till 12, I played Ocarina of Time :D

12pm-1pm: Went to school, got ready for concert.

1pm-9pm: Concert!

First, we started by practising the getting in and out of the stage during the different songs... then, we actually rehearsed the entire program. By 5pm, we changed and got ready... Mr Lim (instructor) styled the hair of all the boys... :P

The concert, thankfully, went without a hitch... including the Boy's Solo, the Kiss the Girl :D Except for the slight (non-noticeable) screw-up at the ending, that is... no one screw-uped for the dance steps :D

For those of you who didn't come for the concert, too bad, you've just missed 1.5 hours for entertainment (with encore idiots making us sing 3 more songs.. :P)

Now that our choir is an SATB choir (with male sections), the poor 4 seniors (Ho Han, Yao Tian, Brandon and I) do not need to have to use falsetto forever :D Our choir actually sounded more complete... I mean you you pay twelve bucks to see only girls singing, or a complete choir and a huge variety of songs?

Too bad the sec 2 batch did not have a large number of guys coming in, like this year... otherwise, we could have SATB a year ago... of course, since its the SYF year, we cannot possibly switch to SATB immediately and get Gold...

Hope next year the choir gets more guys to join, empowering the male section (for a more complete SATB), clinch a Gold for SYF. Then would the current Sec 3s leave the Temasek Chorale happily, especially the male seniors... I mean, with 8 out of 14 guys leaving, of which Liaw and Loong (Sectional Leaders) are in, how are the remaining 6 guys going to sustain the SATB? No way... Currently, the guys section of the choir can just barely accompany the girls... Besides, of the 8 seniors who are leaving, most of us are the pillars of the guys... GG SATB... a glorious but short-lived moment of the TMS Chorale... unless at least 8-10 more Sec 1/Sec 3 scholars (who are good) join in, there is no way SATB would remain...

Nevertheless, it doesn't really concern me much, all that is important to me (in Choir) is getting Gold for SYF! GOLD FTW!

THE GUYS! (Not in pic: Hans and Brandon. Oh yeah, and Zhou Cong.)

Lol, I'm so bored, I shall start talking about Ocarinas :D

There are two types of ocarinas: Transeverse ocarina and Inline ocarina. A Transverse Ocarina, the one Link uses in Ocarina of Time, looks like this. The Inline Ocarina looks like this.

Oh yeah, I forgotten to add the pendant ocarina... Shaped like a pendant, you can bring it anywhere you want. That's similar to mine, which looks kinda like this.

I have the pendant one, hoping someday I see the transverse ocarina being sold in Singapore, and won't cost more than $50... THEN, I will be able to play like Link :D

Actually, now I can already play the pendant one pretty well, its rather easy to pick it up.

November 10, 2008

Lol, after playing a little bit of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64), I started to pick up my old ocarina. Okay, not really... the "ocarina", or should I say, a "Merlio" (Singaporean adaptation of an Ocarina), was actually my younger brother's. Was. Now its mine, seeing that I (forced) my 11 year old brother to give it to me... well, he didn't mind, seeing that he couldn't play well (and I did :)).

Hopefully I could play these songs someday...

Well, since its the holidays, I'm going to spend sometime picking up new songs to play on my ocarina... I can already play most of the songs in Ocarina of Time (Game).

I have already created a new blog (strictly for English Journal Entries) at www.onlineenglishjournal.blogspot.com For people who visit, kindly refrain from leaving personal comments.

Lol, on the 11th (Tuesday) of November is my Choir concert... Feel kinda excited... :P

November 3, 2008

Oops... got pwned during English class... looks like what seems acceptable to me is rude to others... :(

Sorry.

Speaking of English, during English, Mr Toh commented on blog themes of students... I feel that my theme is "too slack", so I'll be creating another blog for English...
